As much as I hate to admit, I think it is time for Dave and I to obtain some life insurance quotes. This of course just in the event that something happens to one of us, the other person will be covered. There's nothing scarier than thinking something could happen to you or your spouse (or the both of you). Life insurance (as I understand it) is a policy that gives peace of mind so that you know you and the kids or your spouse and the kids will be taken care of in case the inevitable happens.
As a subject, life insurance policies and living wills are extremely hard to discuss. I hate to think that I or my husband would not be able to see our precious darlings grow up and to always be apart of their lives for as long as we can.
So, the questions for the day:
Do you have a life insurance policy? Do you have a living will? How hard was it to write up? Did you agonize over who would get the kids in the event that you both pass on untimely?
Paul & I are all set on the Life Insurance part. I think we did that when I was pg with Kevin. We called Zander Insurance (who Dave Ramsey recommends) and then another place local and they both recommended the same place for us. So we ended up going w/ the local place.
I’m sad to say we still don’t have a will/trust made up yet. I’m not sure which way is the way to go. I always thought the will was, but read a book (wish I remember the name of it) and it made it sound like a trust was better. I better find out what the name of that book was and re-read it. LOL
