One state I have never been to is Missouri. I have heard wonderful things about the Branson hotels down there. Aside from the elegant resort-like environment, golf is one of the area attractions. My husband is an avid golfer so I know that he would probably enjoy himself immensely.   I know that we could certainly use a vacation!
