So last night my hubby and I decided to sit down and watch a movie together. It was one that he picked out and so of course there were dvd subtitles. The movie was surprisingly good despite the language barrier! It has been awhile since I have watched a foreign film so I must say it brought back good memories for me!
Have any of you ever watched foreign films? What are your favorites?
I love watching foreign films! The subtitles don’t bother me, though I have to admit you can tell that a little something usually gets lost in translation.
The foreign movies we watch tend to be Japanese horror flicks, but we also watch Korean movies, Spanish-language movies, Filipino movies (but we’re Filipino-Americans and speak Tagalog, so I guess that doesn’t count, lol), and others as well.

I used to tend to avoid foreign films because I was too lazy to read subtitles, but over the past few years, I realized I was missing out. When I’m watching a really good foreign film, I totally forget that I’m reading subtitles. My favorites lately are Japanese horror flicks. They are really on the cutting edge of horror, and they are some of the scariest films out there.
