A few weeks ago, my husband and I received an offer that we couldn’t refuse. Because of that offer, we have decided to move to a different location. As exciting as it all is, it has been somewhat stressful due to the fact that we have acquired quite a few things in the four years we have lived here.
Today, D and I went through all of the kids toys (and threw out the broken ones or the ones that were missing crucial pieces). After we went through them, we packed them up. Now, O and S’s room is pretty much done (except I have to go through their clothes).
It’s been amazing to me how unattached I am to many of the things we have thrown out (this does not include kid toys). We went through the basement tonight for about an hour and I threw almost everything away, keeping only the most essential. Of course, I came across another pair of hot pre-pre-pre preggo jeans (you know, the kind that hug your rear in all the right places) and just could not bear to part with them. I intend to be that size again (or smaller) so I am using them (and the other 3 pair I saved) for thinspiration.
We have 2 more weeks to go before moving to the new place and we couldn’t be more excited! Tonight, D told me that we could get out of the house a bit tomorrow and take the kids to see the new house. O is extremely excited to see his new room! Plus, we’ll measure and get some dimensions while we are there so that we can determine the amount of space we will have to work with.
Other than that, life is moving along. I am 16 (almost 17) weeks pregnant. Not much is happening with the baby. My tummy is growing though as my pants seem to be getting tighter around the waist. O cracks me up with everything that comes from his light-hearted 3-year old mind. S is ever a wonder as she is now oooing and aaahing at every pretty, shiny thing. She also walks around the house with her little block cart (like a cute little old lady). Both kids have kept me laughing quite a bit these last two weeks. Tonight, O and I sang “Get the Sillies Out” …. which he learned from the Yo Gabba Gabba show. He’s so cute when he sings! We wiggled and giggled and got our sillies out!
I love throwing things out! It is fun. I need to be brutal and clean out my closet!

Congrat’s on being able to get rid of some stuff. I really need to go though my house and pretend we were moving.. maybe then I could get rid of some of ours!

YaY for throwing out “stuff”!! Now when you are all settled in the new house, you have to come over and help me throw out all my “stuff”.
Totally awesome!! I bet the kids are getting so big. I haven’t seen them in forever! Congrats again on the moving, I hope everything works out for you guys…just a bit sad that you will be further away! HUGS!
