My grandmother has a heart problem. My mom ordered her one of those medical alert bracelets. In case of an emergency, the bracelet basically says that she has a heart condition. That way, if someone finds her, they can call 9-1-1 and have at least an inkling of what may be wrong. Otherwise, it can be used to alert EMTs and such of her condition. Either way, I have always found these bracelets to be very helpful and ingenious!
