I left my cell phone on the top of my car last month. When it came back to me, it was all scratched up and unfortunately, not working as well as I had hoped. So, i’m considering switching phone companies. I would like to buy an unlocked phone and then pick my company from there. I’m assuming that unlocked phones can be hooked to any network (Sprint, Verizon, Metro PCS, etc.) but i’m not entirely sure.

Have you ever bought an unlocked phone? Can you hook it to any network? Any insight into this would be great!
