Husb and I have been looking for a home for more than a few months now. The looking part is hard (believe it or not) and right now with the $8,000 tax credit, it’s become even harder to find the home of our dreams. Because in our price range, there is a lot of competition.

But if you think it’s hard to buy a home now… just imagine how sellers feel. Many sellers have to put their homes up for a short sale (provided they can no longer afford to keep the home). While others have to compete with short sales and foreclosures. What they bought their home for a few years ago has now decreased in value rather than increased.

I can imagine that it is equally as hard for those trying to sell motorhomes and the like. It would be interesting to see what those numbers are. Maybe motorhomes are cheaper to maintain in the long run?

In any case, times are tough and makes me wonder if they will get even tougher.
