Normally, I don’t pay a lot of attention to Hollywood unless something super emotional and attention-worthy happens. So naturally, as everyone else, I tuned in to see the horrid bruises on pop singer Rihanna’s face via a news broadcast a couple of weeks ago. Reportedly, the bruises were caused by boyfriend Chris Brown (19).
One would have expected that the beautifully famous pop singer would have dumped the violent R&B crooner on his keister after the event. But according to reports made by MSN Music, the couple “reached out to one another” at her 21st birthday.
Is it just me or does this seem wrong on so many levels? The dust hasn’t even been dry for two weeks and already the two are headed for a reconciliation. How is it that the horrid bruises all over her beautiful face are now long-since forgotten? Not to mention there were death threats to her from him shortly after the attack. I guess that’s now moot as well?
In my humble opinion, this situation has tragedy written all over it. I guess this proves that bad things like this can happen to anyone. Abuse has a strong hold on people. Even someone as beautiful and famous as Rihanna.
Thoughts?
