Any advice or helpful hints on how to be good at math?  Say it here.

By everything, I mean:

1.  Sick kids. (again)

2.  Lap top broke (i’ve only had it for a week).

3.  and because of #1 and #2 I am falling behind on my first week in one of my classes.  For a six week class, falling behind on the first week is a death sentence.

I want to cry and stamp my feet.  Or better yet, hide under the bed with the covers pulled tightly over my head.  Still, I trudge on.  I’m trying to decide if I should drop my class now or wait it out.  I don’t want to have my GPA be adversely affected by a bout of Murphy’s Law, so I may just decide to drop the class.  Still, I am unsure as to what effect that will have on my financial aid.

So I guess I can sum up all of this mucky muck with one word.  Oy.

This revelation puts me in a bit of shock (well not really shock… but more like disbelief) because at some point, it felt like i’d never get there just because there was an overwhelming amount of pre-reqs to get through.

Right now, I am taking a Unix/Linux class and also a Dreamweaver CS3 class.  Both are very interesting and both take a lot of work.  The Dreamweaver class will be a cinche since i’ve been using the program as a text-editor for awhile  The Unix/Linux class will provide me with some hands-on computer stuff that I haven’t worked with yet.  I smell a challenge here.  How exciting!

I’ll be spending so much time on these classes that I won’t have much time for my elliptical. Good thing i’m taking the summer off!

Baker sent a brochure to the house the other day marked “resident”. In their brochure they listed all of the degree programs they have to offer currently. To my surprise they added some really cool new ones… like video game software developer. Hmmm…. I like video games and I would only have to take a few more classes to get a double Bachelor’s.

Of course, i’m trying to decide if I should do a double Bachelor’s degree or to obtain only the single degree in web development and then go on to get my masters. The real question here is, which route will make me more marketable in the end?

So for me it’s double Bachelor’s vs. a Masters degree. What’s a girl to do? What would you do?

I have been thinking about Russia lately.  Well, mostly because I have to for school.  Chapter 2 in my Western Geography class is on Russia.  Anyway, it occurred to me that Russia fought long and hard to get away from the claws of communism.  They had a struggling communist society that wasn’t working from a political and economic standpoint.  Now, they have a struggling democratic society and I don’t think they are quite sure what to do with it.  The country is so vulnerable that I am almost certain at some point dictatorship in the form of democracy is bound to take hold again.  A little Western Geography 101 to make you’re night!  hehehe

In time things will get figured out with Russia and with me.
