Spring cleaning… not necessarily fun but necessary. We spent the better part of our day raking, mowing and straightening up the yard. Husb put all of the dead grass in a burn pile (we have a built-in fire pit here). Owie is excited about the fire. He asked me this afternoon if I would by smarshmallows (his word for marshmallows) to roast.

I’m considering a garden for the backyard. I don’t really have what you would call a “green thumb” (it’s more or less yellowish brown at the moment). But that’s because I have no prior growing experience. I am considered a n00b in the gardening world. Even though a garden is a lot of work (husb keeps reminding me of this everytime I mention it), it would be a great way to get organic produce this summer.

OR I could go to the farmer’s market and get organic produce like the rest of the gardening n00bs.
