I have some lowe’s coupons to pass out here! Just click on the link and you will find some good deals! I have printed out a few of the coupons myself — especially the one that allows me to save 35% Lowe’s Werner Ladder sale!
I love Lowe’s. Anytime my husband and I need something for our home — whether we are doing a construction project or looking at replacing light fixtures, we go straight to Lowe’s.
Last year, when we first bought our house, I was at Lowe’s almost every other day for two weeks straight buying paint supplies and asking questions about home projects! The employees were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Good customer service always wins me over — regardless of price. However, in the case of Lowe’s, they offer both competitive pricing and great customer service!
What has been your Lowe’s experience?
I love re-arranging my livingroom! When the layout changes, it always feels like a new room to me.
Have you ever arranged your livingroom in a way that didn’t feel just right? In a way that you couldn’t quite put your finger on but the energy almost seemed to change? That actually happened to me recently as I was trying to figure out which wall to attach the tv mounts to.
My husband and I finally found an arrangement of furniture that felt just right! The livingroom feels so cozy now! It just goes to show that a great layout can change the way a room *feels* as well as looks.
My husband and I recently looked into Amish fireplaces. For our new home, we need something that is chimney-free but yet will help provide a similar warmth much like a regular brick and mortar fireplace. An Amish fireplace seems to be our best bet at the moment as it gives off warmth, is appealing to the eye and basically does the same thing a regular fireplace does. The funny thing is, even though it is called an Amish fireplace, the designs are lovely and modern!
I am in the process of gathering all of my holiday decor. I want to be fully armed and fabulous with some new Christmas decorations! I am looking for some holiday area rugs for the kitchen and dining room area.
Today, I found the cutest snowman decoration at Dollar General. I love to shop there because their holiday decorations continue to get better and better! Last year, I found a cute little Christmas village. This year, I am hoping to find a nativity scene!
How do you decorate for the holidays? Do you have a theme (ie, snowmen, everything in certain colors, etc.)? Or do you just go with the flow?

When my husband and I get our new home, I have a few ideas in mind on how to decorate it. One of the most classy ways to give your home a little glam is by adding candle sconces to your walls! These little beacons of light come in various designs to fit your taste and your style. Or, if you are unsure of what your style is, you can figure it out by deciding which pieces you like best!

My husband just purchased his plasma television. Now, he is in the process of looking for plasma mounts. He wants to mount it to the wall as he feels that things will be much neater and more cozy that way. I have looked at a few wall mounts and some of them seem a lot more transparent than others. I think it would be neat to add a couple of heavy-duty (but pretty) shelves and wall sconces to complete the look. Perhaps we will find something that will fit this weekend.
Husb and I are in the process of looking for new lamps for our room. We would like to buy online because I feel that there is more to choose from. So with the better selection and better chance to find discount lighting fixturers, I think that looking online is the route we will go.
Not to mention, perhaps we will be able to find new lighting fixtures for the other rooms in the house as well!
Where do you get your lighting fixtures (lamps, ceiling lights, etc.)?
I’ve been meandering around the house lately in quiet contemplation. I would like to start making this place more of a home than just simply somewhere to dwell. Husb agrees and so my first mission this week will be obtaining cute things for the living room, such as couch covers, new curtains and rugs.
I even have a hankering for some wall-art. Nothing cheesy, mind you… but something totally original. Like random photography or a knock-out painting of some sort.
What do you do to make your living space your own?
So, i’m stupid. Dumb, dumb dumb. I went out last night and spent $40 worth of Halloween/Autumn decorations for the house and did not check our finances first. So of course, I checked with our bank first thing this morning (like I always do) and we are $100 in the hole! Bleh! Stupid me! *slaps forehead*
Now i’m sitting here looking at those Halloween decorations as the most useless items on the planet. I wasn’t sorry when I bought them (I was quite excited actually because they are downright cute!), but I sure am sorry now… knowing that it cost me an extra $100. Live, learn, and then buy Luvs…. right?
In other news…. Clay Aiken finally came out of the closet. Raise your hand if you were surprised to find out that he is gay. *scans room* … Anybody?
In reality trash news… Bret Michaels will be the star of yet another “Rock of Love” only this time he will find love on the road. I have to say that although i’m excited to see another Rock of Love hit the airwaves, i’m just a little over Bret Michaels. I was hoping they’d get Tommy Lee or Richie Sambora to be the next ROL front man.
Bleh… I can’t stop thinking about my financial blunder! Well… at least I don’t have to spring for any Ferrari parts. Heck, we don’t even own a Ferrari. I now consider myself a Minivan mogul!

Which do you prefer for your windows….
curtains or no curtains? If you prefer “no curtains” do you use blinds? If you have curtains, what are the appropriate lengths and sizes?
I can’t believe i’m about to admit this but I have never ever bought curtains. I’m almost afraid to. I’m not sure what would look good on the windows or how to determine size, length, color, etc. To pattern or not to pattern?
If there are any curtain gurus out there… I sure would appreciate some advice! hehehe
