I have some lowe’s coupons to pass out here! Just click on the link and you will find some good deals! I have printed out a few of the coupons myself — especially the one that allows me to save 35% Lowe’s Werner Ladder sale!
I love Lowe’s. Anytime my husband and I need something for our home — whether we are doing a construction project or looking at replacing light fixtures, we go straight to Lowe’s.
Last year, when we first bought our house, I was at Lowe’s almost every other day for two weeks straight buying paint supplies and asking questions about home projects! The employees were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Good customer service always wins me over — regardless of price. However, in the case of Lowe’s, they offer both competitive pricing and great customer service!
What has been your Lowe’s experience?
I recently found some beautiful quoizel brand bathroom lighting. These lights are so completely elegant and finish off our bathroom in a major way!
Do you ever notice how the small things really help to make the design come to life? You can have all of the large furniture and the best of everything but the little touches here and there are what make a home feel like a home.
That is how I feel about these beautiful bathroom lights! I can’t wait until we get our tax return back so that I can put them on order!
I’ve been meandering around the house lately in quiet contemplation. I would like to start making this place more of a home than just simply somewhere to dwell. Husb agrees and so my first mission this week will be obtaining cute things for the living room, such as couch covers, new curtains and rugs.
I even have a hankering for some wall-art. Nothing cheesy, mind you… but something totally original. Like random photography or a knock-out painting of some sort.
What do you do to make your living space your own?
So, i’m stupid. Dumb, dumb dumb. I went out last night and spent $40 worth of Halloween/Autumn decorations for the house and did not check our finances first. So of course, I checked with our bank first thing this morning (like I always do) and we are $100 in the hole! Bleh! Stupid me! *slaps forehead*
Now i’m sitting here looking at those Halloween decorations as the most useless items on the planet. I wasn’t sorry when I bought them (I was quite excited actually because they are downright cute!), but I sure am sorry now… knowing that it cost me an extra $100. Live, learn, and then buy Luvs…. right?
In other news…. Clay Aiken finally came out of the closet. Raise your hand if you were surprised to find out that he is gay. *scans room* … Anybody?
In reality trash news… Bret Michaels will be the star of yet another “Rock of Love” only this time he will find love on the road. I have to say that although i’m excited to see another Rock of Love hit the airwaves, i’m just a little over Bret Michaels. I was hoping they’d get Tommy Lee or Richie Sambora to be the next ROL front man.
Bleh… I can’t stop thinking about my financial blunder! Well… at least I don’t have to spring for any Ferrari parts. Heck, we don’t even own a Ferrari. I now consider myself a Minivan mogul!
When decorating your home, what do you do? Do you keep things simple and add plain colors and fabrics to your home or do you prefer splashes of different colors everywhere? Do you have flowers and fake (but real looking) arrangements hanging on your walls or the upper parts of any given room? What makes a home complete in decorating?
I have seen it where people with bigger homes go for a more regal look. They usually add things like fiberglass columns to a certain area in their home or garden.
I haven’t decided how I want to decorate our home as of yet. The color scheme is pretty simple. Lots of earth and berry tones. The carpet is beige/white and the fixtures are mainly white with silver trim. I am trying to decide whether or not to use black frames for pictures or white frames. The molding in the house (around the walls, doors and windows) is white. What do you think I should do? How easy did you find it to decorate your own home?
