This week’s quote:

“Don’t blame suffering in the world on the anger of God. He’s not mad; he didn’t mess up. Follow our troubles to their headwaters, and you won’t find any angry or befuddled God. But you will find a sovereign God.
Your pain has a purpose. Your problems, struggles, heartaches, and hassles cooperate toward one end — the glory of God.”

~Max Lucado, It’s Not About Me~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think some in today’s world find it easy to blame God for the things that went wrong in their life. Nevermind that he gave us free will to make certain choices. Some of the choices we make might not have the best results. In the end, every tragedy or drop of pain that we experience leads us to be wiser, kinder, more patient and teaches us a lesson. Human beings are not perfect. Christ died to save us in the afterlife. He died for our sins so that we would have everlasting salvation. We should try to understand (though sometimes it’s easy to say hard to do) that everything that happens in our life whether a result of a choice we made or an indirect event, happens for a reason. The reason can ultimately make us better people and lead us closer to the Lord if we allow it to.
