We are really excited over here! We think we’d like to buy the house and transform the downstairs into a finished family area plus extra bedroom!
Though I admit that I had to ask myself how important it was to me that our first house be something we pick out together not something we buy from a family member. At first it was a slight issue but now it doesn’t matter. It’s like saying I will except nothing less than Kohler faucets even though the goal is to have a faucet that runs water and does its job regardless of kind.
So, as soon as we talk to the MIL about it… it will be semi-official!

We have been there…..bought from a family member…hubbys grandmother.
Anyway, if you need advise on how to go about it, let me know. We worked around a lot of problems and got a great day since there are crazy things you can do since it’s family!

My parents bought their house from my grandmother and Val is right, there are a bunch of perks for buying from a family member.
Keep us updated and let us know how it goes. Can’t wait to see the changes you make. I love DIY! and Kohler faucets…oh, be still my beating heart. They are just so wonderful.
